You can use the Art therapy sessions to explore your options. You are your best expert.
I do not give advice in sessions to clients or give advice to professionals in your care. I will feed back to multidisciplinary meetings about the attendance of sessions and how the sessions were used.
You will not be “told off” or told that your art is “wrong”. You can come to therapy with any worries or difficulties and you can talk about them or make something.
You will be treated with dignity and respect.
I do not administer medication or give advice on medication of any kind.
I will listen to you in a private and confidential setting, offering you my full attention and respect.
You reveal what you want
Art made by the client can often give clues as to what is happening in that person’s life. But ultimately, the client knows how they are really feeling. When the person is ready to talk about things in the sessions, the therapist will be there to listen.
Crisis intervention….do not wait
Don’t wait. Call the emergency services or call a friend. Talk about it and give your self a chance, tomorrow is a new day and you may not feel the same.
